North of America's response to Johnathan Franzen's article in the New Yorker called: What If We Stopped Pretending? The climate apocalypse is coming. To prepare for it, we need to admit that we can’t prevent it. Do pay attention to the lapses of intellectual rigor in his thinking. And generally I'm just miffed and peeved at nay sayers and pessimists who seem to get some ego buzz by standing on the dooms day podium and feeling all proud of their 'realness' and cynicism. There are lots of reasons to suggest we can do a lot to avert cataclysmic climate collapse, but he avoids each one in a self fulfilling prophesy of catastrophe.
